Circular San Antonio is a 501(3)c nonprofit working to build resilience through reuse.

Our organization is locally-rooted and globally-engaged. In San Antonio, our programs focused on food systems, the built environment, and economic innovation demonstrate the potential and power of material reuse in practice.

Globally, our international sustainability delegations are fostering the transatlantic connections necessary to tackle systemic waste issues in communities everywhere.

The circular economy is about improving the use of materials and natural resources by creating interconnected systems, increasing the lifecycle of existing products and materials, and eliminating waste to benefit both people and planet.

Urban centers like San Antonio are key solutions to the pressing environmental, social, and economic challenges of our time, as they concentrate the resources, capital, data, knowledge, and talent, becoming centers for innovation and adaptation.

We believe San Antonio can be the epicenter of this critical work.

Our Work

  • We bring together key stakeholders through material-specific workgroups and action-oriented projects to identify barriers to reuse and demonstrate potential.

  • We host networking events throughout the year to raise awareness, inspire action, and engage the community, with an emphasis on transdisciplinary collaboration.

  • We organize and co-host Full Circle, Texas’ premier summit focused exclusively on the circular economy, converging regional stakeholders and global experts right here in San Antonio to drive progress in the reuse space.

  • We lead international Sustainability Delegations to connect U.S.-based professionals to peers and stellar circular case studies in Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, Germany, and beyond.

  • We are committed to securing funding for a shared community innovation space where circular economy businesses are incubated and launched, positioning San Antonio as a nationally-recognized circular city, driving investment in reuse-focused enterprises.
